What is PreSelling?
============
Have you ever heard about preselling? If not, you may have
no idea just how important it can be to your business. So,
what IS preselling? This is a subtle, yet useful, technique
that savvy marketers use to warm up their prospects and get
them into a buying mood.
It is done for both online and offline businesses, and when
it is done the right way, it can often make the difference
between making a sale and losing one. So, if you want to
improve your profits and gain more clients, take some time
to learn about pre-selling.
When doing business online, the most likely route of
preselling is through a landing page. A landing page is the
first page a prospect should see when searching for your
type of product or service. It isn't an actual sales page,
but it includes some important information that prospects
will need, in order to decide if they want to click through
to the sales page.
It should be short and to the point, and let prospects know
that you're aware of certain problems they may be having and
that you know the solution. If they want to know the
solution, they can click through to your website. The
solution, of course, is your product.
Once they click through to the sales page, then you'll give
them the full information. You can tell them exactly what
you're offering and exactly how it will help them. Make the
sales page irresistible, so that the prospect can't help
but buy. After all, they've already shown that they are
interested enough in your product through your preselling
landing page, to click through to the main page, so the
chances of them buying are pretty high. Right now, they are
considered a hot prospect.
Of course, they never would have become a hot prospect in
the first place, if you hadn't first warmed them up with a
good preselling page. This is so important to your sales,
that it's worth your time to learn the art of preselling
and learn it well. Your business will prosper as a result
and you'll never have to wonder how to attract customers
and make sales again.
